Sicilian Zucchini

A friend gave me a call and asked me if I wanted to come take some photos of his Sicilian Zucchini.  Having never seen one before I agreed to the invite and was amazed at the sheer size and shape of these Zucchinis.

  1. Wow! That's a new one for me. Very cool. Did you get some seeds to plant these next year?

  2. Amazing photo's! A word of caution tho: I planted two of these, having mistaken the young plants for regular zucchini when I bought them. It became pretty clear these were a totally different animal as they took off and grew. And grew. And invaded/climbed over/choked out everything in their path. They are truly amazing in size and chutzpah, but you have to have the space to grow them. Vertical looks like the way to go. (When grown as a creeper rather than a climber, they're not straight, btw - they're C-shaped).
